Aaron is a typical teenager that enjoys hanging out with his friends and girlfriend in his spare time. He is usually the “DJ” for his friends and family and he knows that music is a powerful tool that helps people relax and escape their daily struggles. Aaron was diagnosed his freshman year of high school one month before his 15th birthday. He received his driver’s permit the very next month! Despite this life altering diagnosis, Aaron has achieved the Academic Excellence Award at his high school for the past two years and has also qualified for the Future Business Leaders of America state competition both years. Aaron has also enjoyed being involved in the high school band and competing with the drumline. He is thankful for the kindness shown to him at the time of his diagnosis by Kids With Courage. It meant so much to know that he wasn’t alone.
