Each year 15,000 children, young people and families in the United States face the fear of being diagnosed with the life-altering, life-threatening widely misunderstood disease—Type 1 diabetes. Children diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes are forced into a world of medical procedure, protocol and treatment.
